So sorry to hear the news of Van Adkisson of Roseville, IL passing away yesterday at age 69. Van built and ran Van Adkisson Auction Service for 50 Years and also farmed - Akisson Farms a 6th Generation family farm going back to 1868. I had the honor of working with Van for 30+ years going back to when I started our Machinery Pete biz in 1989. I'd see Van's auction sale bills in the Illinois Agri News paper and I'd call to ask how things sold. He was always so gracious with his time and shared many details with me besides just the sale prices. It was always a Good Day for Machinery Pete when I got to talk with Van. Van was very involved in the Roseville, IL community. His funeral is set for Monday, September 30, 10 AM CT, in Monmouth, IL. Thank You again Van....for everything.
