21 Savage was born on October 22, 1992 in Newham, London, to a Haitian father and a Dominican mother. His father was a drug dealer. His mother, Heather Carmillia Joseph, raised him along with his six sisters and four brothers after moving to the United States.

His mother is Heather Carmillia Joseph and his father is Kevin Cornelius Emmons. He has two brothers: music artists TM1way and Quantivayus Joseph, and two sisters: Jayda Davis and Kyra Davis.
